Step 1: As Wall Units & Rollaway Bed - The computer desk and the ladder unit and the five drawer chest with shelves unit can be used as independent activity modules. Use the low rollaway bed with locking casters as a bed. Store the loft bunk and safety rails for later use, when the child is older.

Step 2: As a Loft Bunk - When the child is older (at least 6 years old), the loft bed system can be reconfigured so that the desk on one end works with the drawers and shelves to support the Loft Bunk Bed. The rollaway bed then fits neatly underneath in an "L" configuration for extra sleeping space. The safety guardrails bolt onto the top bunk bed. Upper bunk weight limit is 300 lbs.
